The city of Lancaster has had a vibrant LRP (Live Role-Playing) scene for decades.
Horror LRP has been running from the city in various guises and created by various teams of storytellers and artists. In 2014, drawing on that wealth of contact and experience, we at decided to throw our hat into the ring.
Our first project, “Lords & Ladies” ran in the summer of 2015 and we are keen to produce more LRP experiences.
You can follow the news and progress of each of our projects here by exploring our event pages, which include information about the game, how to secure a player slot, how to make payments and more.

LRP (or LARP) stands for Live (Action) Roleplay. Roleplaying is a co-operation between all the participants to tell an interesting, unique and fulfilling story. Like any roleplaying game, the participants (or “players”) in LRP take on the role of characters in a fictional setting. Some games take you into their world through a computer, some through your imagination with a sheet of paper and a few dice to help you out, but Live games, as the name suggests, take part in the real world in real time. The players physically embody their parts, donning their clothes, eating their food and living their lives for as long as the game lasts.
LRP events come in all shapes and sizes, from thousand-strong festivals where factions of fantastical heroes camp and do battle en-masse, to intimate linear-style quests for a small band of adventurers. Similarly, the settings for LRP events can vary as wildly as the stories being told, from fields and forests to castles and country homes.

An Empire LRP social event focused on hospitality and celebrating the fallen, taking place in the grim lands of Wintermark.

An Arthurian romance LRP taking place in a thoroughly ahistorical Dark Age Britain, heavily inspired by the Arthurian legends of Geoffrey of Monmouth and Thomas Malory.

An Empire LRP player event focused on exploration, problem solving and peril within a tone inspired by cinematic and literary horror.
