Shunned House is driven by a team of avid roleplayers. We’re a small team of LRP runners based primarily out of the city of Lancaster, where we met as members of the Lancaster University Role-Playing Society (LURPS). We have been roleplaying for 20+ years.
Our backgrounds range from academic scholarship to theatre, writing, and game-running. We’re passionate about creating intricate plotlines, making great props and finding fantastic locations to run our games from. We’re pride ourselves on immersive storytelling and atmospheric world-building.
Because of the sheer ammount of talented people we have access to, the ref team may differ from project to project.

Naomi Adam (Projects: Lords & Ladies, Circa Regna Tonat, Hall of the Blood Moth)
Naomi started roleplaying more years ago than she would like to admit to and has played and reffed horror LRP for nearly a decade. She brings a slightly overactive visual imagination to the props bag, and she is in charge of finding, buying or creating props for Shunned House productions.
Kirsty Barnes (Projects: Lords & Ladies, Circa Regna Tonat, Hall of the Blood Moth)
Kirsty started out roleplaying online through play-by-post websites, until she came to university and fell in love with LRP. She runs a. She is interested in history, theatre and writing and genuinely likes a robust risk assessment. Kirsty manages finances, logistics and admin for Shunned House projects.
Mike Kilburn (Projects: Circa Regna Tonat, Hall of the Blood Moth, The Feast of Storms)
Mike works in digital marketing and is an experienced writer and ref with years of experience running LRP. He handles website stuff and assists in logistics and admin.
Connor Wilson (Projects: Lords & Ladies, Circa Regna Tonat, Hall of the Blood Moth)
Connor is an academic and has a doctorate in History, as well as keen interests in literature and theology. He enjoys scholarship from the mundane to the esoteric and supports Bolton Wanderers FC. He has a deep love of the horror genre and has been playing and running roleplaying games, both table-top and LRP.
