The Feast of Storms is a plot-light Empire LRP social. This is the second run, and will take place on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Cloisters in the Holiday Inn at Bolton Town Centre.
In character, the event will be held in the holdings of Sigehold in the west of Valasmark in Hahnmark, Wintermark.
The event will an afternoon and evening of socialising, performances and ceremonies. There will be a meal in the evening, as well as a bar for refreshments throughout. Tickets will be £60 per person.

FAQs
Is this event sanctioned?
Inherrently, the Feast of Storms is a social event. A social event is defined by the Profound Decisions Sanctioned Events page as follows:
Social events are events run by participants which don’t include any plot, but are considered to be part of the Empire campaign run by Profound Decisions. This means that they will have no npcs present – everyone will be playing their Empire character. It also means there will be no threat or peril, beyond that posed by other player-characters.
We do not intend to run the Feast of Storms with threat or peril. If there is a need to sanction the event, we will persue it and update the event information accordingly.
When can I book?
The expression of interest form will open ahead of the 2026 Winter Solstice, which will be on the 24th April 2026.
When and how can I pay?
All payments must be made by electronic transfer. Once we have been able to confirm your place, you will be provided with bank account and PayPal details to make this transfer. This information will be provided via email, and will also cover when we expect payments by.
Where do I stay?
While accommodation is not provided, we have been fortunate enough to be offered discounted rates by the Holiday Inn for using their venue.
The Holiday Inn can offer us rooms at a reduced rate. The bed & breakfast rate for these rooms comes down to £105 per room, reduced from £148. These bookings will be handled by the Holiday Inn, not ourselves.

What do I get to eat?
There will be a sit-down meal in the evening.
With the first Feast of Storms we tried to have snacks on arrival with the venue, but we found out at the last minute this meant filtering people into the café at event start before coming to the hall proper. This didn’t feel condusive to the flow of the event, so we’re advising people to eat lunch elsewhere in advance of coming.
Is this an event solely for Wintermark players?
The event is open to any character willing to travel to the north and accept the hospitality of Sigehold Hall.
(Please note, while hospitality is an in character expectation of the Winterfolk, and in setting anyone can turn up at any time to a Wintermark hall, our guest list is decided out of character and our decision is final.)
Will there be combat? Can I bring a weapon?
There is no planned combat for the social. You are free to bring a weapon to wear.
We advise to avoid combat, as there will be fragile fixtures and items such as drinks glasses around. If you absolutely must fight, put OOC safety ahead of anything else. Please either avoid taking up too much space and make it quick, or agree between participants what the outcome is OOC.
What if my character dies before the event, or the world state changes drastically?
All IC attendance will be subject to change depending on the survivorship of your characters.
Because of the nature of Wintermark’s hospitality customs, you will not need to “re-apply” as your new character if you’ve already been invited OOC. You’re free to be travelling through Hahnmark for whatever reason and attending upon Sigehold for a night of hospitality.
If the world state changes (for example, Hahnmark is no longer Imperial territory) we will adjust the IC brief accordingly.
Where is my money going?
We do not anticipate profiting from this event. Our projected event fund is based on a minimum of 100 attendees on the Saturday, and as such ticket prices will primarily cover any costs associated with venue hire and catering. Any additional funds generated from additional attendees over this projection will be spent on sundry costs such as set dressing and subsiding any crew/event runner attendance.
This event feels a lot like Seven Hours of Virtue. Is it?
Yes, it absolutely shares its DNA. The Seven Hours Productions team did an incredible job running Seven Hours of Virtue. This event is very much inspired by the tone, structure, and style, and we’re aiming to carry that concept forward.
We hope it shall be a spiritual successor. If we can land something familiar in format, but with a Wintermark flavour, we’ll be doing our job right.
